Day 1: Friday,
January 29, 2016 Valley of the Rogue State Park, Gold Hill,
OR
After loading way too much stuff in the motor home, (food,
clothes, toys) we left Gladstone about 2:30. We arrived at this beautiful
park along the Rogue River in time for dinner. Linda had a bad fall
Thursday afternoon slipping on leaves on the tennis court at Gladstone Park,
hitting off the backboard with Rylee, was not enthusiastic about taking our
usual walk around the park. We watched a couple of episodes of the fourth
season of Homeland, having brought the NetFlix DVD's with us. We settled
in for a good night's sleep, tired from all the organizing and packing for the
trip!
Sarah, with her puppy cut, ready to travel. She looks younger than 6. Thinking I will go see that groomer! |
Mount Shasta, from the road traveling south. It has snow this year - water for the Sacramento River Valley! |
Shasta Lake at Bridge Bay We used to swim from the shore to that island. |
